Large job fair at Tuen Mun
The Labour Department will hold a large-scale job fair at Tuen Mun Town Hall on September 20 and 21, offering 5,200 vacancies for middle-aged and elderly job seekers.
Forty-four organisations will offer positions including clerk, gardener, Chinese medicine pharmaceutical staff, customer service assistant, shop assistant, optometrist, physiotherapist, security guard, driver, car park attendant, cook, waiter/waitress and technician.
About 71% of the vacancies are full-time jobs.
Monthly salaries range from $8,000 to $18,000.
Most positions require a Secondary 6 education or below and 80% are open to people without work experience.
The fair will be open from 11am to 5.30pm.
Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.
